Greenwich Royal Observatory. In 1675 Sir Christopher Wren was ordered 'to build, within our park at Greenwich, upon the highest ground, an observatory, with lodging rooms for our astronomical observator and assistant'. The building now houses an educational museum and a planetarium. The Royal Observatory has been moved to Cambridgeshire.
